2. Ghee – 5 tbs
3. Casewnut – ½ cup
4. Raisin – ½ cup
5. Turmeric powder – 2
pinches
6. Salt to taste
7. Sugar – ¾ th cup
8. Bayleaf – 2 nos
9.
Small cardamom – 3 nos
10.
Cloves – 5 nos
11.
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
12.
Water – 4 cups
13.
Refined oil – 2 tbs
Method:
Take
rice in a bowl. Wash the rice 2-3 times with water. Sprinkle turmeric on it and
keep it aside. Put on the gas and heat the cooker. At the same time heat a pan
on another oven. Heat ghee and refined oil in the cooker and boil 4 cups water
in the pan (just the double of the quantity of rice). Now after the ghee and
oil is heated enough put whole garam mashala, raisins and cashew-nut and cook
well for some time, add the rice in it and fry it, till it becomes crunchy (1
or 2 grain to be tasted). Now add 3 cups of boiled water and leave the rest.
Add the sugar and cover the lid and wait for the whistle. Remember before the
whistle a drop of water will fall down from the lid. Turn off the gas and leave
it until the vapor is released. Now open the lid. Your home made Pulao is ready
to serve. Serve it with your favorite dish.
